Following the merger between Alpha In Flight Catering and LSG, a new central production kitchen and distribution unit was needed to provide food for their customers based at Heathrow.
As both Alpha and LSG having been customers for many years, we were asked to help with the design and construction of the facility.
Over 56,000 sq ft of industrial unit space was fitted out with food safe panelling and temperature controlled throughout including:
- 4 large production areas with custom built ‘sock’ diffusers
- 14 roll in blast chillers and freezers
- 27 chiller and freezer cold rooms
- 6 chiller loading bay areas
- 1 high pallet capacity distribution freezer room
- Wireless data logging system
The whole project took eight months but was finished on time and on budget.
